What we do

Someone brings in a computer that last worked under a president you can name. We open it. We find a capacitor that has become a science fair. We replace the parts that failed from sitting still. The host explains, at length, why the fan was a design choice and not a cry for help.

Projects have included: a tower the color of nicotine, a laptop that weighs as much as a thesis, a machine that asks for a disk that is no longer manufactured on this continent.

A polite notice

This is not This Old House. We do not have their crew, their title, or their load-bearing opinions. No crown molding. No “good bones.” The only foundation here is a particle-board desk that has already sagged.

If you came for a colonial, the listing is on another channel. If you came for a 486 that smells like 1994, stay.
